Nous avons une riche histoire d’œuvres qui défient le statu quo, mettant en avant la diversité culturelle. À travers nos productions et activités parathéâtrales, nous cherchons à remettre en question les perspectives des gens en présentant des œuvres qui abordent des enjeux mondiaux avec des impacts locaux résonnants. Depuis notre création en 1981, nous avons présenté des dizaines de productions et organisé des centaines d’événements sur des sujets allant de la catastrophe industrielle mortelle de Bhopal, en Inde, au génocide en cours à Gaza, en Palestine occupée. This comedy follows Dhara, a widowed matriarch, as she arranges the marriage of her brother to Urmila, an ambitious filmmaker. Nous nous traitons généralement avec moins de gentillesse chaque jour… Pourquoi faut-il une guerre pour nous faire redécouvrir notre civilité ? 2023 – Counter Offence Situé dans le Montréal des années 90, Counter Offence raconte l’histoire de Shazia, une femme indo-québécoise qui se retrouve prise dans un mariage abusif avec Shapoor, un homme iranien aux prises avec des problèmes parentaux complexes et des défis liés à l’immigration. 2022 – Psycho 6 Psycho 6 a été développé dans le cadre du programme Fireworks du Théâtre Teesri Duniya. Il suit le parcours de K, un jeune homme qui a été ballotté entre foyers d’accueil et centres pour jeunes depuis l’âge de 9 ans.
