Fundraiser

Teesri Duniya Theatre is seeking a Montreal-based Fundraiser.

Location: Cité-des-Hospitalières, 251 avenue des Pins O
Employment Type: Full-time (35hr/week) with possibility of renewal
Salary: $20/hr

Teesri Duniya Theatre is dedicated to producing, developing, and presenting socially relevant theatre based on the cultural experiences of diverse communities. Multicultural diversity, intercultural relations, relevance, and compelling stories are defining features of our work. We are engaged in production, play and playwright development, and community projects focused on visible minorities and community building.

Job Description:
The Fundraiser will work alongside the Artistic Director and our Office Fundraising Coordinator to support Teesri Duniya’s funding initiatives. Specifically, the Fundraiser will focus on diversifying our funding sources, through private funding and donor events.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Research Funding Opportunities: Find potential grant opportunities that align with the theatre’s mission and programs.
2. Donor Management: Maintaining our donor base through targeted email campaigns.
3. Private Sponsorship Strategy: Compiling a master sponsorship package and cold
emailing & calling private funders.
4. Grant Management and Reporting: The Fundraiser will be responsible for the logging and management of previously received grants, as well as managing report deadlines and submitting reports.

Qualifications
● Proven experience in the Canadian funding landscape, preferably in the arts or non-profit sector.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to maintain multiple ongoing project schedules & timelines.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
● Detailed oriented and an ability to keep files organized. This position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs.

● Be aged between 15 & 30 years old (inclusive) on the start date of the job.
● Be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
● Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.

Work Environment
We work primarily in-person with the flexibility to work from home occasionally and according to your circumstances. This position may require occasional evening and weekend work for events.

Remuneration
The Fundraiser will be paid $20/hour for 35 hr per week. Taxes will be taken off at the source.
This contract will start on June 15, 2026 and end on Aug 7, 2026, with the opportunity for a full time offer based on performance and organizational needs.

Teesri Duniya Theatre is seeking a Montreal-based Rangshala Manager.

Employment Type: 1-yr Contract, 20-30hr/week (hours fluctuate depending on events)

Job Description: Rangshala Manager
The Rangshala Manager will oversee the use and maintenance of all theatre equipment, manage equipment requests, and coordinate with the Artistic Director, General Manager, and technicians to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of theatre equipment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

About Rangshala:
Rangshala is a multicultural, multipurpose art space jointly managed by partner organizations and community collaborators. Rangshala means & home of creation & in Hindi. Rangshala is a pilot project to confirm the viability of utilizing four art spaces jointly shared with our partners. It is a collaborative model consisting of multicultural, Anglo-French theatres, multidisciplinary artists, and BIPOC and LGBTQ+ organizations.

The four spaces include:
● Multipurpose Art-Space: For rehearsals, training, creating, experimenting, and presenting.
● Meeting Room: For art-based community gatherings.
● Reading Room: For play development, roundtables, and testing.
● Courtyard: For outdoor presentations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Management:
○ Oversee the use and maintenance of all theatre equipment.
○ Assess equipment needs and purchase new equipment as necessary.
○ Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and up to date.

2. Coordination and Planning:
○ Manage space and equipment requests from clients and partners.
○ Coordinate with the artistic director and general manager to decide on partnerships and space usage.
○ Liaise with technicians to ensure proper equipment setup and timely execution
based on client needs.

3. Client and Partner Relations:
○ Serve as the point of contact for clients and partners regarding equipment and space usage.
○ Provide guidance on equipment setup times and requirements.
○ Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and technicians.

4. Operational Efficiency:
○ Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve equipment management and operational efficiency.
○ Conduct regular inspections to ensure all equipment is functioning properly and safely.
○ Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and project
execution.

5. Financial Management (alongside General Manager):
○ Manage the equipment budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.
○ Process invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents related to equipment and space usage.
○ Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

● Basic knowledge of theatre equipment and operations.
● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
● High level of written and verbal English, and conversational French.
● Interest in theatre and working in a not-for-profit environment.

Work Environment
● This position may require occasional evening and weekend work for events.
● The Rangshala Coordinator may need to lift and move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Remuneration
The Rangshala Coordinator will be paid $21/hour for 20 to 30 hours a week. Please note that as this is contract work, taxes will not be taken off at the source and will be the responsibility of the contract worker.
