March 14 – 24, 2024 The Chemical Valley Project Teesri’s Rangshala Studio By Broadleaf Creative Presented by Teesri Duniya Theatre A breathtaking blend of documentary-theatre, innovative projection design, a charismatic script and a playful solo-performance engage and implicate audiences in The Chemical Valley Project. This is the story of siblings Vanessa Gray and Beze Gray, who have dedicated their lives to fighting the polluting industries that threaten their community’s health, safety, and future. Theatre makers and friends Julia Howman and Kevin Matthew Wong document Vanessa and Beze’s journey and vital activism in this performance piece, filled with levity and heart. The Chemical Valley Project first premiered in January 2017 in Toronto, ON, at the Art in Solidarity: Performance in Protest. It has since gone on to tour nationally, playing shows all around Ontario/kanadario and British Columbia, as well as internationally in Braunschweig, Germany.
