Raju Choreography and Direction: Aparna Sindhoor A Story and a Song is a bewitching blend of bharatanatyam, a classical dance form native to southern India, yoga, and an Indian martial art called kalarippayattu. The performance is underpinned by a theatrical structure focusing on women, the environment, love and sensuality. A Story and a Song weaves stories stemming in particular from Kannada folklore and the oral tradition of the natives of North America.
